ALBAWABA - Elon Musk's X platform closed the account of Yahya Saree, the military spokesperson of Yemen's Houthi group.
A news account mentioned via X that "The account of @Yahya_Saree, the leader in the Houthi militia Yahya Saree, who has been impersonating the military spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, has been suspended on the X platform."
As for the reason, Saree was likely suspended due to his "incitement of violence, targeting of civilians and facilities, and dissemination of misleading content, as part of the efforts by the Ministry of Information and the Digital Media Center to combat inciting and misleading content."
The Houthi group did not immediately comment on the account suspension.
Yahya Saree is one of the group's most prominent media figures, and he uses his account on the X platform to publish its statements and military positions.
