ALBAWABA - During his most recent Las Vegas rally, U.S. President Donald Trump raised eyebrows by taking jabs at Canada, calling its leadership "nasty."
Trump said, "Canada is nasty. They are nasty. I love the people, but their leadership is nasty." On July 20, the U.S. President imposed an additional 50 percent tariff on $20 billion worth of Canadian goods, including dairy, wine, cement, furniture, fishing rods, swimming pools, clothing and ice hockey equipment, as reported by DW News.
Despite the ongoing tensions between the two neighboring countries, Trump says that tariffs "have made us rich" and that the U.S. has been previously "screwed by tariffs" from several countries, including Canada.

Trump's comments sparked debate on social media as Canadian netizens snapped back at the U.S. President:
"He calls Canadian leadership nasty because they are actually standing up to him and moving on from his ridiculous tariff policies and dishonest, undependable behavior and his word that means NOTHING because he is such a liar."
"Not only is he dividing our country he’s getting all the countries of the world to hate us too . Canada Americans love you - you are our brothers and sisters . The dirty nasty senile old p*do will be gone in a couple years and hopefully the dems will get the house back ."
"it's gotten to where I can't tell the difference between an SNL sketch and the real thing. and I haven't watched SNL in years."
