ALBAWABA - Yesterday, U.S. President Donald Trump gave Iran its "last chance" to sign a deal with Washington.
He said he called off strikes and promised to continue discussions towards a peace deal, claiming it was after a request from Persian Gulf allies, CNN reported Monday. Trump vowed that Iran will be hit hard and that it has the last chance to resume talks, which he said would resume Monday, despite denials from Iranian officials.
Regarding the Strait of Hormuz, Iran's Foreign Ministry said the country is in talks with Oman to establish a safe, "temporary" route for ships through the critical waterway.
According to an organization that monitors marine traffic, yesterday, a tanker was reported being attacked off the coast of Oman.

Polymarket, a prediction market platform where users trade shares on real-world events, made a new poll called "Will the U.S. Invade Iran Before 2027?".
The website explained the prediction, "This market will resolve to 'Yes' if the United States commences a military offensive intended to establish control over any portion of Iran by December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to 'No'."
More people voted "yes", backing the suggestion that the United States will conduct a ground military operation inside Tehran amid continued tension between the two countries, which started on February 28, 2026.
