ALBAWABA - Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) reached a "preliminary agreement" with the government on the integration of troops into the security forces, Syrian Kurdish leader Mazloum Abdi told AFP.

In an interview with AFP in Hasakeh, northeastern Syria, on Sunday, Abdi outlined that SDF and the Syrian government had reached "a preliminary understanding regarding the mechanism for integrating the SDF (Syrian Democratic Forces) and the (Kurdish) Internal Security Forces within the framework of defence and interior ministries".

Last week, violent clashes erupted between the Syrian government forces and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) on Monday night, Syria's state news agency SANA reported.

Tension was suddenly sparked between the two sides; however, SANA reported that a ceasefire deal had been reached in two districts of Aleppo city.
