ALBAWABA - Rosatom announced Sunday that it began returning workers to the Bushehr nuclear power plant site in Iran.
The state corporation's CEO, Alexey Likhachev, told reporters that five engineering personnel had already arrived at the nuclear site in Iran.
"We have begun returning specialists to the construction site of the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant. The first five members of the engineering staff have already arrived at our residential compound and begun carrying out their work. Thus, the total number of Russian specialists has reached 25," he announced as reported by TASS.
He further mentioned that the company is planning to send several dozen extra employees to the Bushehr nuclear power plant during the coming weeks. However, the decision might be halted depending on the situation between the United States and Iran.
Likhachev also noted that construction of the main and auxiliary buildings for Units 2 and 3 is underway, while preparatory work continues on hydraulic engineering facilities, according to TASS news agency.
