ALBAWABA - American company Apple temporarily deleted Telegram from the App Store, arguing that the move came over content that violates the company’s rules regarding child sexual abuse material.
According to U.S. media outlets, Apple confirmed the news in a statement on Monday, saying that an investigation confirmed that the platform contained content that violated the company’s rules prohibiting material of child sexual abuse.
Apple said the messaging app, Telegram, was temporarily removed from the iPhone and iPad app stores.

The statement reported that the app was reinstated on the App Store after Telegram promptly deleted the content that contained child sexual abuse and blocked users who posted it.
In a post on X regarding the development, Telegram wrote: "Reports of my demise are greatly exaggerated."
In a different story, the Australian Office of the Internet Safety Commissioner filed a lawsuit against Telegram for failing to remove content linked to terrorism.
