ALBAWABA - Two people have died in a car and stabbing attack at a synagogue in Manchester, the BBC reported on Thursday.
The suspect was shot by the police and died. Three other people were injured and are in a serious condition. The British police said a "large number of people" were worshipping at the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue as Jews today mark Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar
Earlier, a stabbing attack was reported at the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue in Manchester, and the British police said they received a report and dispatched officers to the location, Sky News reported on Thursday.
The BBC added that police received a call to the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue, on Middleton Road, Crumpsall, at 9.31 a.m. from a person, who said that he had witnessed a car being driven towards members of the public, adding that he saw one man being stabbed.
Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham revealed the "immediate danger appears to be over" after reports of a "serious incident" in Crumpsall, north of Manchester city in the United Kingdom.
The police have closed Middleton Road between Wilton Road and Crumpsall Lane.
