Lebanon: Five die in Hizbullah official house blast
Posted: 12-10-2009 , 20:01 GMT

hizbullah lebanon borderA blast in the house of a local Hizbullah official in southern Lebanon on Monday night killed five people, including the official and his son, security sources told Reuters. The explosion, which took place in the southern Lebanese village of Tayr Filsi on the southern bank of the Litani River, was cordoned off.

There were conflicting reports on the reasons for the blast. One report said it was an explosion of remnants of war in the peripheries of Teir Felsay. Other reports said the explosion in Saeed Nasser’s residence was due to ammunition stored in the three-floor building.
