 A 40 second video clip of an Iranian girl, named “Neda,” the Farsi word for voice, allegedly shot dead by a Basij soldier has been circulating the web as of Saturday. Her shooting comes as Iran faces demonstrations in the magnitude not seen since the 1979 Iranian Revolution.
The footage shows the girl, with a singe bullet wound in her chest, lying on her back as her family tries to unsuccessful save her. Blood is first seen leaving her chest, and later flowing from her mouth and nose as her face is eventually left covered in blood. 2 minutes later she was pronounced dead.
The video has since seen a wide global circulation and developed into a rallying cry for the hundreds of thousands of demonstrators in Iran who have disputed President Ahmadinejad’s June 12 victory over rival Mir Hossein Mousavi. Neda is a martyr.All she wanted was to be free.Those who obstruct peaceful change,enhance violent revolution.I pray this will not happen in Iran.May peace be given a chance to avoid this heartless bloodshed.May Allah protect both those whose crime is in their desire to be free,and the cause of freedom for which they sacrifice their today.This sacrifice will not go unrewarded.Nada will not die in vain.Long live to the vanguards of freedom. |

The world has witnessed your death intimately Neda, i'm so sorry and angry i hope you are at peace. To Neda's family i pay my respects and am deeply sorry. Please do not let the government or anyone else say it was the protesters fault, don't let this stop now. |

An idea can be the most powerful thing, espeacly when the idea is to crush the hand that holds you down, For Neda the street where she was shot this street should be named Neda Street, and may all justice show light. USA and Britain watch with their diplomacy and china and russia shake hands with scum of the earth, our aryan homeland has been taking, we must take it back and be rid of the ayatollahs for good. free iran to all persains, for Neda and Cyrus the Great take our aryan land back.. help help help |

the circumstances about Neda's death is very suspicious. Only one person who is England says she was shot by a Basij and he says that the crowd arrested the basij but then let him go!!
He says that the crowd kept that Basij's ID card. If there was such an ID card it would have been all over internet now. Neda was also videotaped 45 minutes before she was killed. Strange that among 1000s of demonstrators she was so much in the center of attention even 45 minutes befor her death. She was shot from back with a small caliber bullet. (According to coroner office) But the way her death has been exploited is shameless and a total disrespect for her and her family. |
