Iran's Supreme Leader: US is defeated

KhameneiIran's Supreme Leader said in Tehran's first Friday Prayers in the fasting month of Ramadan, "Alert and wise Iranian nation, relying on strong faith and resistance, made US project of weakening Islamic Revolution face defeat."


Addressing thousands of Tehrani worshipers at central campus of Tehran University, the Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei added, "The Iranian nation would continue paving the same proud and glorious path, and a time will come when no power would dare to threaten this nation, even in his mind."


According to IRNA, the Iranian leader added "The severe blow Saddam and the Ba'ath regime of Iraq received from the Iranian nation led them towards their doomed end later on."


Referring to the recent months' remarks of the US and Western officials on imposing sanctions against Iran, Ayatollah Khamenei said, "The Iranian nation was under severe sanctions during the imposed war, and has reached a status today that relying on its military capabilities, says the last word in the region."


The Ayatollah added, "In the nuclear field, too, we have proudly achieved noticeable advancement, proving the fact to the world that relying on our own nation's capabilities we would reverse the effect of any sanctions."

The Supreme Leader said that the defeat of the oppressors' project to weaken the Islamic Revolution in the face of the Iranian nation's resistance has opened the scene for new research works in psychology, sociology, and political, fields, inviting the analysts to take lessons from the reality of the Islamic Revolution's ever increasing strength.

 

Ayatollah Khamenei referred to the US plans after the 9/11 events, including Washington's will to siege and defeat the Islamic Republic of Iran, adding, "The Americans had a multi-dimensional project, aimed at shaping up a pro-Zionist Middle East, but faced defeat at all layers of that project."

Khamenei  in his second sermon referred to the coming to power of the Hamas Government in Palestine among the defeats of the US administration, arguing, "Despite the huge US assistance and the sorrowful contributions of some Palestinians, the popular and legitimate Hamas Government is still alive, and this fact is a severe blow in the mouth of the Americans and Israelis."


He referred to the defeat of Israel in confrontation with the Lebanese Hizbullah last summer as another defeat for the US project for establishment of a new Mideast, reiterating, "The Americans did not even imagine the Israeli army's humiliating defeat in the course of the 33-day brave resistance of Hezbollah, that is today stronger than ever before."


Ayatollah Khamenei referred to Iraq case as another dead end for US policies, adding, "The Americans were after the establishment of another US puppet regime in Iraq in the framework of their Greater Middle East Plan, but four years on, the entire analysts believe the US has faced full defeat in the country, and the Americans are after calling out of that country prestigiously."
