The Syrian actress Suzan Nijem Al Deen has filed a lawsuit against an Egyptian production company, which produced a new television drama series called “Al Harybah” (The Runaway).suzan

Suzan claims that she already produced a drama series that holds the same name and she was the leading star in the series.

According to Suzan, the Egyptian company was not satisfied with taking the name of the series; they also copied the characteristics of the leading characters and the storyline.

Suzan believes that people in show business should have respect for one another and whether a series is Syrian or Egyptian, it has the same audience.

Suzan said that she is not confident the court will rule in her favor, but she wants to publicize the need for Arab producers to have the rights to their work protected.

She wants a Syrian union for Syrian creations in the Arab world.
