Manouchehr MottakiIran's Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki is to arrive in Yemen Sunday carrying a letter to President Ali Abdullah Saleh from his Iranian counterpart Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Mottaki's visit comes amid accusations that its stands behind the Shiite rebels in northern Yemen, with Sana'a claiming that the insurgents received training and funds from Iran.

Yemen's Foreign Minister Abu Bakr Al-Qirbi stated on Saturday that Iran supported the insurgents. Two days ago, Yemen closed the Iranian Hospital in Sana'a, saying unsettled debt was behind the closure.

Meanwhile, Yemen sentenced on Saturday two rebels to death and ten others to eight to twelve years in prison after convicting them of forming an armed group that was involved in carnage in the district of Bani Hushaish, Sana'a.
