Word of Gaming Entertainment Comes to Qatar
Posted: 03-11-2009 , 10:04 GMT

A major new agreement between Qtel and leading international publisher and developer Gameloft will bring some of the latest downloadable video games to people’s mobile phone handsets, it was announced today.

The agreement will mean that, for the first time in Qatar, some of the most popular games will be available for easy download for the mobile, including brand new titles such as Assassin’s Creed 2, Real Football 2010, Platinum Solitaire 2, GT Racing and Terminator 4.

Gameloft’s ever-expanding selection of downloadable games will be accessible through Qtel’s Mozaic Mobile platform. Customers will be able to download a range of titles direct to their mobile simply by connecting to the Mozaic Mobile from their handsets.

Executives at Qtel are confident that pioneering agreements like these will prove hugely popular in Qatar, as more people use their mobile handsets for games and entertainment. Qtel is working with some of the world’s best content providers to ensure that people have the highest quality of interactive entertainment.

Gaming via the mobile phone is becoming increasingly popular in Qatar, and globally has become a major new industry. Gameloft has sold more than 200 million mobile games since launching their first mobile games in 2003.

Well known for the quality of their titles – recognized again in 2008 as the world’s best mobile game developer – Gameloft is also a prolific publisher covering all game genres for gaming enthusiasts all over the world.

By partnering with Gameloft, Qtel is adding a significant new layer of entertainment to Mozaic Mobile, which is already the most popular mobile site in Qatar.

Mozaic Mobile also offers entertainment options on customers’ handsets ranging from music, cinema, ‘MyTones,’ and sports downloads, as well as SMS chat in 11 public rooms with non-stop connections to MSN, Yahoo and ICQ accounts.

To receive a correct setting to be able to connect to Mozaic Mobile with your handset, send SMS with word ALL to 92973 and save the settings you will get in reply, free of charge. To appreciate the full variety of Mozaic Mobile services, Qtel recommends using a 3G-enabled handset.

More information is available by calling 111 or by visiting any Qtel Customer shop.
