hasnaAccording to the London daily Elaph, the Moroccan artist Hasna accepted an award as the ‘best Moroccan artist’ presented by the Tunisian Cultural Ministry at a celebration sponsored by the Tunisian “Republic Newspaper.”

“There is nothing better for someone than to be awarded for the success she has accomplished, and I happy to be among the awarded stars,” said Hasna as she accepted the award.

The celebration, called “Lailat Al Nojoom Al Arabiyah” (The Arabian Stars Night) drew celebrity attendance from all over the Arab world, including music artists and actors.

After receiving her award Hasna performed a collection of songs that the audience enjoyed.

Hasna is credited with raising the profile of Moroccan style music in the Arab world.
