Mayor of Amman, Eng. Omar Maani received in his office the Ambassador of Chile in Jordan, Mr. Fernando Varela, and discussed with him avenues of bolstering cooperation and ex-change of expertise between the city of Amman and the city of Santiago in all municipal services.
Eng. Maani reviewed during the meeting the Municipality’s current and future plans in the comprehensive metropolitan planning, transportation development, and upgrading infrastructure, which is bound to positively reflect on the City’s development.
The Chilean Ambassador, on his part, commended the achievements of Amman, especially in regard of services, and cited his admiration for the development the Capital has recently witnessed, particularly urbanization. © 2009 Al Bawaba (www.albawaba.com)
