Sweileh directorate of the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) recently organized a one-day free medical examination for residents in the region. The event, which was organized jointly with Al-Othman Clinics, took place at Al-Yubeel Garden as part of GAM's centennial celebrations.
Head of the Sweileh Local Committee, Mahmoud Al-Qaysi said that such a medical activity aimed at enhancing the contribution of the private sector to the development of the local community.
He commended the role of the private medical institutions in organizing such events, and providing the patients with their need of medication.
Over 500 cases of different diseases were examined and treated during the day, coming from Sweileh and the neighboring areas. All medications were presented free of charge.
On his part, general manager of Al-Othman Clinics, Dr. Ashraf Al-Othman said the free medical day was featured with the participation of doctors for all fields, and included medical consultations, blood and urine tests, as well as free medicines that were donated by Al-Hikma Pharmaceuticals at JD3000.
Al-Othman praised the efforts exerted by Sweileh directorate, as well as the services provided by staff of the local committee on that regard.
