A senior aide of Iran's supreme leader called leading reformist candidate Mir Hossein Mousavi an American agent and accused him of committing crimes against the nation in an editorial published on Saturday.

A top Iranian cleric stated Friday that some of the arrested Iranian staffers of the British Embassy in Tehran will be put on trial, and blamed London of a role in instigating post election riots.

Twenty people died and more than 1,000 detained in the post election protests last month, Iran's police chief said Wednesday.
