In France the French/Algerian artist Shab Mamy was convicted and sent to prison for the next five years for forcing his girlfriend into abortion. The court in France had decided to keep Chab Mamy whose real name is “Muhammad Khayfati” in prison in Paris once he returned to France, because he was considered a runaway in Algeria.chab

According to the al Moheet online newspaper, Chab Mamy wanted to apologize to victim and said that he regrets what he had done that he is very sorry for doing what he did and wants his old girlfriend to forgive him. Chab Mamy admitted that he had total responsibility for what happened, but that his previous business manager was the one who put him up to it.

Back in 2005 Chab Mamy was convicted of being violent against a French newspaper photographer called Camille and she is 43 years old. Camille said that she was forced back in August 2005 to a villa in the Algerian capital after she had told the Algerian artist that she was pregnant.

She also added that she was anesthetized and two women and a man tried forcefully to give her an abortion. It is needless to say that the French photographer never lost her baby and that she gave birth to a baby girl who turned 3 years now.
